Budget Committee Public Hearing

The Budget Committee of the City of Gearhart will hold a public hearing on Thursday March 28, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at Gearhart City Hall.

The purpose of the public hearing is to consider possible uses for state revenue sharing funds for fiscal year 2019/2020.

Organizations may fill out an application for grant donation consideration. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on March 21, 2019. You are encouraged to attend the Budget Committee meeting and may provide written and/or oral comments and suggestions to the budget committee respecting possible uses of entitlement funds.

Additionally, the City of Gearhart Budget Committee is seeking applications for (3) vacancies. The budget committee is a 10-member committee made up of the five members of Gearhart City Council and an equal number of citizens at large. Citizen members must be at least 18 years of age, a registered voter and reside within the Gearhart City Limits. The purpose of the Budget Committee is to review the budget as prepared by the Budget Officer, make changes if necessary and approve the budget for City Council consideration. The budget committee usually meets one evening a year, with the possibility of one or two additional meetings if necessary. 
The first budget committee will be on March 28, 2019 at 5 p.m. at Gearhart City Hall. (The Budget Committee Public Hearing)
If necessary, the second budget meeting will be on March 29, 2019 at 5 p.m.
