BUDGET COMMITTEE VACANCIES
The City of Gearhart Budget Committee is seeking applications for vacancies. The Budget Committee is a 10-member committee made up of the five members of the Gearhart City Council and an equal number of citizens-at-large. Citizen members hold a (3) year term, must be at least 18 years of age, a registered voter, and reside within Gearhart city limits.
The purpose of the Budget Committee is to review the budget or supplemental budget as prepared by the Budget Officer, make changes if necessary, approve the budget for City Council consideration, and set the maximum amount of taxes that may be levied by the City.
The Budget Committee usually meets one evening a year with the possibility of one or two additional meetings, if necessary.
The first Budget Committee meeting for FY 2025-2026 will be held in April at Gearhart City Hall.
The second Budget Committee meeting for FY 2025-2026 will be held in May at Gearhart City Hall. If necessary, a third meeting will be held in May.
